United Way of Northeast Florida (Real$ense Prosperity Campaign)
The Real$ense Prosperity Campaign, a coalition of agencies, nonprofits and local businesses under the administrative guidance of United Way of Northeast Florida, works in partnership to improve the financial stability of Northeast Florida citizens. In the eight years since its inception, Real$ense has brought more than $30 million in federal EITC dollars into the local community. In addition to providing free income tax filing services, Real$ense facilitates free year-long financial education classes through the Duval County Extension Agency, the Jacksonville Urban League, the Northeast Florida Community Action Agency (NFCAA) and War on Poverty. Among the many programs offered through Real$ense and their partners is the Individual Development Account (IDA) program, providing matched savings for qualified wage earners toward the purchase of a home, business startup or higher education.
